Hayley Ezell is excited to begin the process of becoming a new homeowner. Born and raised in Opelika, Alabama, Hayley is very familiar with the South, but her journey has led her to finding employment in different cities. Hayley, a single mother of two, states that her various jobs are to ultimately “find stability and support her family”. Hayley states that being a Habitat Homeowner will allow her to continue raising her daughter (19 yr) and son (8 yr) in a loving and safe environment in Florence, Alabama.

Hayley graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelors of Science in Logistics. Post-graduation, Hayley searched for employment to provide support for her newborn daughter. This led to her finding employment at Sunglass Hut in Auburn, Alabama. At Sunglass Hut, Hayley developed management skills which allowed her to earn the Store Manager position. Following her employment in Auburn, Hayley’s search for the ideal location to raise a family led to her taking the Store Manager position of Sunglass Hut in Birmingham, Alabama. Currently, Hayley works at Horace Mann Insurance.

Hayley discovered Shoals Habitat for Humanity by learning about the Homeowners Program from Susan Beckett, a member of the Shoals Board of Directors. After meeting the staff, Hayley wanted to be a part of a community that helped others. Hayley is excited to begin her volunteer work at the ReStore and to help build her home and assist others going through the same process.

When Hayley is not working, she enjoys spending her time with her two children and reading.
